Overview
The AutoSum function in Excel is a useful shortcut to help save time in financial modeling. Instead of manually typing "=SUM(...)", you can simply press ALT and = on the keyboard to automatically sum up all numbers in a continuous range. This function works for both vertical and horizontal ranges of numbers.
For financial analysts, the ability to navigate around Excel without the use of mouse could save them a huge amount of time, leaving them with more time performing more complicated analyses!
